Jaipur to Khajuraho via Taj?

Hi Everybody

Is it possible to travel to Jaipur to Khajuraho with a Taj Mahal stopover? We would be heading to Jhansi from Jaipur to get to Khajuraho.

How are you travelling - car, trains, bus?

Hi,

There are no train reservations available and the indiarail site has only one train that sets out in the morning from jaipur.
So we are planning on hiring a car as it would be more convienient.

Nothing but possible. Not sure about the Jaipur/Taj leg, but by car from the Taj to Khajuraho is around 10/11 hours, maybe a little more. Pretty good road all the way.

Yes. I'm assuming you are staying the night at Agra? Jaipur to Agra would be no more than 5 hours. I'm not sure how long to Jhansi for the next stretch - buses from Agra to Khajuraho take around 10 hours, a car is going to be faster.

yeah possible. must stop for a night in agra. than next day have a bus or train to jhansi than on to khajuraho.. a taxi will provide you all sort of flexibility

on the way can have a watch at bharatpur birds sanctuary and fatehpur sikiri...
