itinerary help please
Hi
I plan to go to India from 24th Dec 07 till 8 Jan 08, total 15 days. I would like to cover around Ragistan and Varanasri if possible. and here is rough plan 24: arrive Delhi around 5.00pm 25: Delhi 26: (early train to Agra) Agra + Fatehpur Sikri 27: (train or bus to Jaipur) Jaipur 28: Jaipur 29: (train to Ajmer-Pushkar) Pushkar 30  bus to Jodpur) Jodpur31: Jodpur (night train to Jaisalmer) 1: Jaisalmer 2: Jaisalmer 3: Jaisalmer (night train back to Delhi) 4: Delhi 5: (fly to Varanasri) Varanasri 6: Varanasri 7: Varanasri 8: Varanasri (fly back to Delhi) .. then leave Delhi after midnight I seem a bit crazy isn't it ha ha, Please give me some suggestion. Do you think its worth to go Varanasri? I heard from some friend said that I shouldn't miss it. or should I go to Varanasri (3 days) after Delhi then take night train to Agra? Do you think I should book all the hotel in all the city when itinerary is fix or just big city like Delhi, Varanasri is enough? Please help! thanks in advance |

If you come all the way to India and do not go to varanasi - your trip is incomplete. It is the city that time forgot about , the place where it all began - do not miss it for anything ! :-)

I think this itinerary below is a bit more organise, what do you think?
Do you think I take too much night train? will be too tired? Is it safe to travel by night train? please advise 24/12 - arrive delhi 25/12 - delhi 26/12 – (fly to Varanasi) Varanasi 27/12 - Varanasi 28/12 - Varanasi 29/12 – Varanasi (night train to Agra) 30/12 - Agra, (night train to Jaipur) 31/12 - Jaipur 1/01 – Jaipur (night train to Jodpur) 2/01 - Jodpur 3/01 – Jodpur (night train to Jaisalmer) 4/01 - Jaisalmer 5/01 - Jaisalmer 6/01 - Jaisalmer 7/01 – train and fly back to Delhi 8/01 – Delhi, home |

perfectly safe traveling by train at night. Go for it and enjoy yourself. Glad you've decided on Varanasi, the place is wonderful.
