itinerary advice needed! first timers...
Hey there! My boyfriend and I are going to India for 2-3 weeks in late May.
We want to see some of the temples in Rajasthan, and some monasteries up north. Any advice (including airfare, how to get around, order of events, places to avoid, etc) would be greatly appreciated! What we're thinking... start in Delhi badrinath, dharmsala, manali bikaner deshnok jodhpur pushkar jaipur fatehpur sikri agra vrindavan delhi We're completely willing to change everything, though. Maybe you have a better idea for us? a way to go to varanasi and some monasteries over there? we just thought these places looked pretty. |

Rajasthan, Delhi, Agra and all of central India would be sbsolutely scorching in May. Temperatures could soar upto 40 degrees at that point of the year and if you are not good at bearing heat than things could be quite bad. So my advice would be to stick as much as possible in North India and roam in the Himalayas. Besides the places you have mentioned you can also check out Nanda Devi sanctuary and the Almora region of Uttaranchal which is also very beautiful.
