India in August, can it be done

If that's the only time to go, then don't hesitate to do so. India's a big country, and as you know there are places that fare better than others at that time of year, so go there. I've been many times in august. the mountains are good, if soggy, and southern Karnataka is actually pleasant. The wet is way better than the hot, that's for sure! Like has been said- work a siesta into your schedule, be patient with travel disruption, and you'll have a great time!

It's in Agra, near the Taj. These rikshaw riders don't really have a good name, but they were cool with the kids.
