India February 2007

Hey guys, I've purchased my airline tickets for three mates and myself, and have finished planning my itinerary, and need some comments/advice on my itinerary. My three other mates have never been to India, so I thought I'd keep the destinations in India pretty simple for them. I think the itinerary is pretty solid but any thoughts are welcome. Cheers!

Day 01 Leave Sydney
Day 02 Arrive Kuala Lumpar/Depart Kuala Lumpar/Arrive New Delhi
Day 03 New Delhi
Day 05 Depart New Delhi/Arrive Agra/Depart Agra/Arrive Delhi by car
Day 11 Depart New Delhi/Arrive Jaipur by train
Day 12 Jaipur
Day 14 Depart Jaipur/Arrive Bombay by plane
Day 15 Bombay
Day 21 Depart Bombay/Arrive Goa by plane
Day 22 Goa
Day 29 Depart Goa/Arrive New Delhi by plane
Day 30 New Delhi
Day 31 Depart New Delhi
Day 32 Arrive Kuala Lumpar/Depart Kuala Lumpar/Arrive Sydney

sounds great to me! good amount of time allocated i think!

but if you're going to jaipur i'd try to squeeze in at least a couple of highlights of rajasthan (jaisalmer and udaipur are a must), time permitting of course

Yeah, time is the main factor. If I were going for 2 months, I'd definately go to places like Udaipur, Benares, and back to Lucknow. My mates have to get straight back to uni after the trip, so that's a shame. I hope Jaipur is a great city though, I've never been there.

Jaipur is probably the least interesting place I went in Rajasthan...sorry to say! But some may disagree with me!!
I was happy to just spend 1 day there. You wouldn't consider taking a night train somewhere else?
