how to get to Mt. Abu from Bangalore

I was hoping some one could please provide me some advice on visiting Mt. Abu. My wife and I are visiting India for a very short visit. I have 3 free days while in Bangalore (Mon-Wed). I would like to visit Mt. Abu. I am unable to figure out the shortest travel time to Mt. Abu from Bangalore.
BLR-BOM-Ahmedabad and then train to Abu Road and then cab to Mt.Abu?
BLR-Udaipur by flight then a luxury bus to Mt. Abu?

Any suggestions?

The fastest way is probably flying and a bus to Mt Abu, I think.

Both places are well-connected to Mt Abu, but I would chose Ahmedabad for better air and bus connectivity.

In three days? How much time were you reckoning on actually spending in Mt. Abu?

I'm sorry, just doesn't seem very feasible to me no matter how you look at it. But, good luck with it if you do

You'll have to change flights in Mumbai and spend at least 5 hours to get to Udaipur, and it'll cost you more.

Ahmedabad has direct flights from Bangalore that take only 2 hours, but the first flight doesn't get to Ahmedabad till 12:00, so by the time you get to Mt. Abu you'll have lost most of day 1, and the latest departure time from Ahmedabad going back to Bangalore is 17:00, so that's another half a day lost, but both flights are by IndiGo, so maybe that will keep the price down.

I think I will do the BLR - Ahmedabad direct flight.
Any tips on the Ahmedabad to Mt. Abu? Should I take a taxi or a train or a luxury bus service?

If time is of the essence, and you can afford it, the fastest way is always a car. You can leave when you want, not have to wait for departure times etc. If you have a car you may also use it for getting around Mount Abu itself. By train you will need to get transport from Abu Road station up to Mt Abu.

I would advise you to take a flight to ahmedabad than take a bus to mt abu directly.
