how to get from Delhi to Kufri, H.P

Hello, there are four of us coming to India for the first time. Dates 25 January - 12 February. We'd like to go to Himalai around 8 February for 3 days to skiing. What is the best and fastest way to go from Delhi to Kufri at his time?

Get to Shimla first... its closeby.

Browse the Himachal Pradesh forum here for information on Delhi Shimla routes. The best/fastest way may be road from Delhi, or train, depending on what your fancy is.

fast way to reach there is by taxi if you want to book your taxi you have to tell how many days your looking to stay there your schedule have you book hotel there first conform that there is snow for skiing

Option 1

Take a train to Kalka (Shatabdi) - 5 hours.
Take a taxi from there to Kufri - about 5 hours depending on the speed you achieve

Total : 10 hours.

Option 2

Self drive / taxi from delhi - total distance is about 400 Km's and if you achieve some consistency in the speed then its doable in 9 hours.

Option 3

Bus it. You can catch an overnight one leaving at around 8-9 PM. this will get you to the Shimla bus stand by about 6-7 in the morning and from there it will be another 1 hour or so to Kufri.

Option 4

Fly. See if you can get a flight. 45 minutes to the Shimla airport.

From the Airport about 2-3 hours to Kufri.

This is the fastest way , but not economical at all.
