Honeymoon in Mid December-12

I am planning for my Honeymoon, around Mid December (Somewhere arond 20Dec)

I would be at Udaipur around 15-16 Dec, and will take 7-8 days for my honeymoon from their.

Getting confused where to go, and what would be the best during that time of the year....for perfect Honeymoon...

Please suggest, and if there is any1 planning on similar tracks, please let me know......

Also, I am not getting If I should go with some Tour Packages for plan it mysellf.

Have digged out many sites, and have found some very good Tour packages, but all those seems to be more or like bounded with some restrication to No. of Days, Hotels, Timings etc....

Looknig for something with good freedom, which is not avaiable with Travel Agencies, but not sure if planning on this would work better or the arrangments by some Travel Agency....as they have all lined up, from pickup till drop.

Please help me out...

dont know how much it will help u but just writing certain points

me too planning for similar dates......... i finalised two destinations, kerala and kashmir

since dec 20 to jan 10 is peak season in kerala, all flight rates are double and all hotel rates are also high........ so i leave it for next year (with similar budget, i can enjoy with luxry) and finally zeroed on kashmir

though i asked for quoted from travel agents but then i checked from internet that since kashmir is a lean season that time, i can bargain there directly and can get a good deal so i only booked flight........ if it would be any other month, i should have gone with travel agent.....

so my advice is if u choose place which is a peak season (kerala, rajasthan), book with travel agent as they can get a good deal and if choosing lean season place (kashmir, sikkim), book urself as it will save quite a good amount in monetary terms and freedom terms........

Even my first interest is with Kerala, but provided I would be at Udaipur, unable to finalise on things....
But, Kashmir would be real good with Snow (in limits) as I got from the web....

I was looking to go with Travel Agency, so that all the arrangments could be proper, but provided the fact it would be low and lean season, real good bargains could be achiveded for sure...
Now, Will try to search & plan out thing on my own, with points from forums and all on Hotels and other points....

Please, let me know with further details and ideas if you have any... ?

i will reach srinagar on 21st and will leave on 27th....
i am planning to visit pahelgam for 2 nts, gulmarg for 1 nt and 3 nts at srinagar out of which 1 i will stay in hb.....

though today i got a very good quote from one of travel agent .... 34000 for 6 nts with bkfst and dinner (exc flight)......... with 3 and 4 * hotels so i m thinking that option also...
