Honeymoon in May

I would like to know if Kerala is the right place for honeymoon in the month of may. please guide me. if not suggest few places.

That depends on what is 'right place' for you!. It will be hot and humid in may for sure. If you are ok with that kind of weather,then go for it, otherwise try Ooty/Darjeeling/Manali etc.

Easiest and coolest would be Kodaikanal,Coonor,Ooty.

Or maybe Kodaikanal,Munnar,Kumily,Madur ai,> Chennai.

You can go to Munnar in May. The place, being a hill station, has pleasant weather and there are many places around to enjoy. Towards the end of May, you may be able to enjoy the premonsoon evening showers, too.

@ archana. What is best according to you? Beach, Hill Station, Forest. What is your budget? How many days? You have given us no information.

@Archana....Just say how many days you have..whether you are okay for North...budget and other details so that members in teh forum can assist you.Else all your shouts will go in vain as you will just get vague returns

North Sikkim is always a good honeymoon destination. I am from the south and can tell you , you will end up spending more if you got to kodaikanal or ooty instead.

I'm new to IndiaMike, although I have used the info many times earlier to plan my trips. But no trip has been as important as this one [], so I finally decided to get into the community and ask for your valuable inputs.

We have a few conditions : cool places, budget around 80k (travel from Bangalore), not get too bored just in the room all the time (since we have known each other for over 3 years now!). We will be going by April end. Around 8 days is what we have in mind now.

We have 3 options in mind and are confused about the best :
1. Nainital, Kasauni, Ranikhet, Corbett
2. Darjeeling, Gangtok, North Sikkim [too secluded? I know we will get to see snow, and that would add to the pros]
3. Srinagar, Gulmarg, Patnitop [only worry is safety - any comments?]

We definitely would like to have days in between to have our together-time, but too much of it might also get to us as we love to see places as well. Please do help us decide!

People just post a thread here with out giving full details viz. there preference , liking , budget, time , mode of traveling etc and ask IMers to suggest good place.

For me a good place is a serene himalayan peak, a long track, a small village in himalaya etc.

So please provide us full details then only we IMers can help you.

I can propose THIMPHU, the Capital city of Bhutan, it will be considered as going abroad and still it is a cool place within your means... may be can travel up-to Boomthang in east Bhutan for more cold weather. otherwise the weather at Thimphu is pleasant always.
