| Thanks SueJ and pmvelu! I've been researching your suggestions, and it will be hard to decide, they all look fascinating. I think I may just put off the final decision until we get to India, it seems like reservations for hotels in that area are not hard to get at this time of year, and I can just cancel my last night in Madurai and then move on. Thanks again, I can't believe we are leaving in just a week! |

| Hello I have a question re this thread as I am plannign to do a similar thing but base myself in mysore. How much should you pay for a taxi to take you to Madikeri? Then would you be able to arrange one back to Mysore from there? And the same goes for getting to Nagarhole park? Thanks |

| Taxi Fare I am not sure but from mysore, you could plan Nagarahole NP + Madikeri together from mysore. From Mysore, you could reach Nagarahole NP[90kms from mysore] , do the safari and then continue towards Madikeri [ 84 kms from Nagarhole]. Hope this helps Velu |
