Help for August
Hello!
I don't know if this area is the correct one for this question... Anyway, I will go to India in August (I know it's not the best time, but I only can have holidays in August, now ) and I wish to visit the South.I was thinking of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and/or Karnataka. Will be the weather unbearably hot? will be raining all day because of monsoons? Will malaria mosquitos eat me alive? Of course, I know it' s not the best time to visit the area (and India in general), but I cannot have other holidays. Thanks for any info Vale |

Ciao Vale!
In August you can go north (Ladakh) where I will go !!!If you want to go south I think that the best option is TN where monsoon arrive later and if you need to escape the heat there are a lot of nice hill stations.... Fai buon viaggio! Serena.

You could consider Rajasthan if you not been here before. The monsoon is quite weak and its not as hot as during the summers, but still a bit hot. In the South youll run into rains everywhere..

BTW, really in Rajasthan the monsoon is supposed to be weak and the hot OK (nearly OK)? I've many friends who went to India in August, started with Rajastan, but moved to Kerala because of heavy rains and unbearable hot in Raj. and in Kerala the weather was OK. So the best option for August I suppose are TN or Ladakh, right? Grazie! Vale |

June and july is the heavy rainy season and in august it would be rainy but not much as june/july. You can travel in kerala.it would be rainy but not much in august. you can visit Munnar and thekkady the hill stations and also kovala for beaches and kumarakom and alleppey for back waters. at rainy season trekking will be interesting so can opt the hill stations and also ac visit kanyakumari.
