Haridwar to Joshimath and back

I am travelling from Haridwar to Joshimath for a further journey up to VoF and Hemkund Sahib.

Can someone please advice on how much a one way taxi cost from Haridwar.

Is it advisable to keep the driver waiting till we finish our 3 day trek from Joshimath-ghangharia-VoF-HKS and back?

Would also appreciate if recommendations on where i cna book the taxi

Taxis can be booked from the Haridwar taxi stand.
Once you come out of Haridwar Railway station it is on the right hand side at walkable distance. The telephone number is +91 133 2427738.
You can contact them for dropping charges up to Joshimath.
They will also inform you the per day charges.
