Hampi to Mysore? Mysore to Eranakulam?

can anyone suggest us a better way to reach mysore from hospet(hampi) in one day? and from Mysore to Eranakulam in another (one) day?

we are especially worried about how to arrange the transporation between mysore to Eranakulam. We hope we can enjoy both the bulb lighting shwo of mysore palace on May 11(Sunday evening) and Thrissur Pooram (in Trissur) on May 13. We hope to Eranakulam before May 12 evening so that we can get up early to Trissur next day. Now the problem comes: We have less than 24 hour to reach Eranakulam from mysore, how can we make it?

It seems there is no direct train for the itinerary. Our alternative choice is to take the KSRTC bus. but someone suggest us not take the jolty coach for such a long time, esp. the weather is quite hot that time.

can anyone advise us how to make it in one day for these two itineraries? if taking train isn't plausible, is there any air-conditioned buses that are not so uncomfortable?

Any suggestion or experience sharing are most welcomed .. we would very very appreciate your help..

I have done Mysore to Hampi by car in one day, so it should be doable in reverse. It is a long day. I think there are buses: when our driver told us he had never been to Hampi, we told him to ask some bus drivers which route they take. It almost worked....

better you use night train on 10th may - Hospet to Bangalore, then 3 hrs bus journey to Mysore. you can relax in the day time...evening visit Mysore palace....

on 12th...check there day time bus...to Ernakulam / Trissur....
otherwise...take bus to calicut then change to Trissur.....

to watch Elephant procession...no need to go to Ernakulam. Vadakumnathan temple....near Trissur.

if you go from mysore...this trissur is 100 Kms prior to Ernakulam....
