Gaya to Jasidih (in Bihar) best way?
Hi guys,
My partner needs to get from Gaya to Jasidih on 10 December. No problems right? Well, she needs to arrive no later than 3pm, and would prefer not to catch a late train from Gaya (she'll be travelling alone). So far the best option I can find is to catch: 3152 Sealdah Express, leaves Gaya 6.35am arrives Asansol 11.30am 8183 Tata Express, leaves Asansol 12.15pm arrives Jasidih 14.04pm. Do you think she would be pushing it to catch the next train? I can see the 3152 comes from Jammu and might be running late. I thought a bus might be a better option but she has concerns catching one in Bihar (shes going to an Ashram in Rikhia). Any thoughts/suggestions??? Thanks! |

It's difficult to find a decent train option, 3152 couldn't be relied upon, the connection is much too tight.
Will your friend be going to Rajgir/Nalanda? Train 43H40 departs Rajgir daily at 16:00, then Nalanda at 16:24 and gets to Jasidih at 23:12. However, the train only has Sleeper Class. Other than that, a bus/taxi to Patna seems like the best option. There are early morning trains from Patna (08:05 is the latest one), but your friend would have to depart Bodh Gaya too early to catch them. Train 8621 departs Patna daily at 15:30 Jasidih at 20:48 (2A, 3A, SL.) This train starts from Patna so may be the best option. The thing I don't like about the Patna option is that it's almost as far from Gaya to Patna as it is to Jasidih. Deogarh looks to be about 180kms from Gaya, so a taxi could probibly do the journey in under 5 hours, but I've no idea what the roads would be like or if a taxi would be prepared to do the journey.

Thanks Steven_ber
Not sure I understand your options, as she needs to get from Gaya to Jasidih by 2pm in the afternoon... Looks like a bus would be the best option then ![]() |

Oops, didn't read all of your first post.
The only train worth considering from Patna is.... Train 2304, Patna 08:05, Jasidih 11:44 (1A, 2A, 3A, SL.) But I think your friend would have to allow 3 hours to get to Patna train station from Bodh Gaya. |
