If you want to save time then take a bus/taxi from Dehradun that goes via Mussoorie.

2. is easily Bus or Share Taxi available from Dehradun?

Yes.

3. is it possible to reach Yamnotri temple Starting early morning from Dehradun/Rishikesh and night stay at Jankichoti?

From Dehradun to Janki Chatti you will take around 6 hours if you go via Mussoorie.

4. Where we get the Bus or Share Taxi to Go Uttarakashi in Janki Choti or Hanuman Choti?

Please be clear with your english. And fyi, it's 'chatti' and not 'choti'.

If it's not too much trouble would you please kindly print some posters from here; Have you seen Jonathan Spollen? Missing in Rishikesh since February 3rd, 2012
& take them with you to display in hotels/Chai stalls & cafes along the way. Many thanksKK

1. is it possible to visit Yamnotri temple in one day?

I'm not sure of the temple timings. In my previous post I said it will take around 6-7 hours to reach Yamunotri from Dehradun. You can calculate accordingly. If you leave early in the morning then I think you should be able to visit the temple that day itself. I haven't been there yet so this is the best I have to say.

2. if we stay at Dehradun instead of Rishikesh, can we save time to reach Yamnotri Temple?
Rishikesh to Dehradun is around an hour of driving. You will save one hour.

3. Bus or Share Taxi is available from Dehradun to reach Yamnotri?

I'm not too sure on this. If a direct bus is not available, you might have to change at Naugaon. I think direct taxis might be available.

4. after visit Yamnotri temple we want to stay Janki Chatti and next day we want to go Gangotri- Where we get the Bus from Janki Chatti or Hanuman Chatti to go Uttarakashi?

No idea about this.

I would suggest you to take Bus or share Jeep from Rishikesh as this route has regular service...
But I don't think you can reach Yamunatri temple in a single day as you'll reach Janki Chatti in the evening.

1. is it possible to visit Yamnotri temple in one day?
You can reach upto Janki Chatti in the evening and to reach Yamunatri you'll have to trek 6 kms.

2. if we stay at Dehradun instead of Rishikesh, can we save time to reach Yamnotri Temple?
The map shows there is a route from Dehradun which goes via Mussouri but the regular route is through Chamba!

3. Bus or Share Taxi is available from Dehradun to reach Yamnotri?
It is available from Rishikesh...

4. after visit Yamnotri temple we want to stay Janki Chatti and next day we want to go Gangotri- Where we get the Bus from Janki Chatti or Hanuman Chatti to go Uttarakashi?
Buses reach upto Hanuman Chatti and only small vehicles move upto Janki chatti...but I'm not sure if the road is widened in the last few years or not!!!

Dehradun, Mussoorie, Yamuna Bridge up the Yamuna valley to Janki Chatti = 7 hrs approx. depending on when.

Route via Chamba would be Rishi, Narenranagar, Chamba towards gangotri, left at Dharsu bend for Barkot, right for Janki Chatti/Yamunotri.

DDun, Muss, Yam Bridge preferable imo.

Rishikesh - Jolly Grant airport - Ddun, off peak times, 1 hour.

It doesn't make sense to go from Rishikesh via Dehradun/Muss to Jankichatti by public transport as there's too much changing/waiting involved. Agree with Dhruba that it's better to go via Chamba and get off at Dharasu Bend. Another jeep from there to Barkot, and another to JC.

JC to Gangotri is not possible in one day, specially since you need to stop at Uttarkashi to get a permit for Gaumukh etc.
