From Leh to Shimla or Srinagar

Hi everybody

I intend to go from Leh to Shimla at the beginning of June. After some research i didnt find a flight from Leh to Shimla. So i think there exists no direct connection?
As airplanes are not available and railways dont exist between both cities i would be forced to take a driver and a car.
Is this a good idea and how long would the drive take? Also it would be interessting to know how high the costs for such a drive should be?
Is anybody out there who can help me?

The second question is a shorter one: are there really no direct flies between Leh and Srinagar? I thought i read here in the forums something about a direct connection with Air India?

I am really thankful if someone could answer those questions.

Thats a bit of a drive...2 days minimum is what you would require. Nighthalt at Manali and leave the next day for Shimla.

Cant help you put with the fares though sorry, never hired.

Uuuh, 2 days driving doesnt seem to be much fun.

Flight from Leh to Delhi

Delhi to Shimla.

I believe there ARE Leh to Srinagar flights, but they don't connect you to Shimla. Delhi to Shimla are the ONLY Shimla flights.
