From Jaisalmer to Dalhousie by road
i am planning to go to jaiselmer-delhoussie by road. please suggest the route by road & the approximate time ,plus some good hotels to stay on the way

Shaleen, if you haven't got one already, the Eicher Goodearth India Road atlas is well worth the price you pay for it. It will be handy for you when you are driving. Looking at my large Rajasthan map, my guess is you will travel by NH15 up through Bikaner - Ganganagar. Then looking my Eicher book you stay NH15 - Amritsar - Pathankot. After Pathankot, take the road to Dalhousie, not that far away at this point!
Someone might be more specific for you, with suggestions of where to stop, on the way.

the route is Jaisalmer-Ganganagar(NH15) to Bathinda. From there take the border road to Amritsar, its excellent and well paved
From there you head over to Pathankot. After that its tricky since a couple of bridges are not functional. So best to ask directions from Pathankot

how much time approimately it will take to reach from jaiselmer to pathankot/delhoussie.can i reach same day there if i start early morning.i am leaving from delhi -jodhpur-jaiselmer-delhoussie-delhi on 5 th dec |

my plan-
5th- gurgaon- jodhpur 559 km 6th- jodhpur 7th- jodhpur-jaiselmer 280 km 8th- jaiselmer 9th-10th jaiselmer-delhousie-dharamshala 1023 km + 87 km 11- dharamshala-delhi 515 km is it feasible. or any changes suggested |
