From Delhi to Trivndrum (and a flight back to Delhi) First of all hello to you all. Obviously, this is my first post on this forum (that doesn't mean I haven't read anything yet!) so please, have patience Me and a friend of mine are 20 years old, (so) we don't have any real experience with traveling to more let's say... exotic countries (only been around in Europe). But, we have a strong desire - they say that's enough... As written in the title, we have 42 days; from 3.8 - 11.9 (pure coincedence) ...with an option to change departure dates for a very small fee - a precaution. Our itinerary is still very crude, so any and all suggestions are wellcome. As for now, it looks like this: Delhi - Jaipur ...through Rajahstan... - Mombai - Goa - province Kerala, Trivandrum (and a flight back to Delhi, as we depart for there also) We are very flexible around the itinerary and are willing to make compromises in order not to rush, yet see and experience as much as possible. Our budget is around 1500 eur. So, if I deduce the plane ticket (from Trivandrum to Delhi) we end up with aprox. 50$ per day. The most important question: Is our plan realistic? Too much time, too little, ect. Also, please comment and suggest palces to see along this path

Hello Akul and welcome to indiamike 42 days should be plenty of time, consider forgetting Mumbai & Goa, Mumbai is a great place, but worth avoiding if you're not arriving or departing from there, and Goa, well, opinions vary, but there's plenty of beaches in the south, and it's hard to avoid the tourist prices/traps in Goa. You could go from Udaipur to Mandu/Maheshwar and surrounding areas, then to Ellora & Ajanta caves, then Bijapur and surrounding area, then Hampi, then Mysore, then Madurai, then Kerala. (Damn, that sounds tiring, but you've plenty of time) Can you not change your departure city to Chennai? (must be as cheap as a single from Kerala to Delhi).

Steven_Ber Thank you for your reply, much appriciated. I'm reading into what you suggest for us to see and it sounds great. But I must ask, why avoid Mombai? Too similar to Delhi? I understand that there is much fuss about Goa, but the site is really legendary! Have you had any negative personal experience regarding it? About changing departure location... i will check and report back. To all others "out there"... the more opinions the better ![]()
