First Time to India, June 4-July4

I will be travelling to India for the first time this June. My preliminary itinerary is: fly in to bangalore, see goa, mumbai, and northern india/delhi, fly out of delhi. I am looking for any advice for a single traveller. I am particuarly concerned with monsoon season. Are there certain places to be/not be? The only definite plans I have are my arrival/departure cities (bangalore/delhi). Also, does anyone know of a decent budget hotel/hostel in bangalore (possibly one with airport pickup)? Thanks

Well, you'll probably get wet. And Goa is beautiful, but you won't want to swim in the rough muddy waters that you'll see during the monsoon.

But if this is the only time you can get to India, hope you have a great trip!

Bangalore to Mysore to Hampi to Goa to Mumbai to the Himalayas and then Delhi is a good trip IMHO. There's soo many possibilities. But June is a good time for the mountains. Though will be alot of Indian tourists about there. Won't be a good time for Goa as far as doing the usual beach stuff. But prices will be low.
There's just soo many options that It's hard to give advice without really knowing you. But the above itinerary is good for a first timer. Also throw in the Taj whilst in Delhi.
