Feb 3rd week - honeymoon advice - in search of misty, lush green mountains

hello Folks,

we are honeymooning in 12- 18Feb. We are from Bangalore.
We want to -
spend time among misty green mountains and cool waterfalls
enjoy some small time activities like cycling around, peddling around in a quiet lake etc.
do not want to rush around too much.. want to restrict ourselves to 1 or 2 places and enjoy our company with nature.

I want the groups advice on which place to go , where to stay and what to do.

May think of Nainital area. It has all that you want.

Try Corbett

There was an amazing show Corbett national park on Nat Geo. This is the section where the Ran Ganga river flows. I do not know of Waterfalls, but you'll definitely be able to commune with nature and help save the tiger.

Nainital would be an ideal choice - lake, waterfall, nature and trek(if you feel like) all of them will be there. And feb won't be very crowded either. But definitely quite cold.

You could try Coonoor - there are some charming properties around, it's less frenetic than Ooty and several places to visit by car or train.

book early and enjoy your honeymoon!

Nature Travel

1.Muketshwar is better then Nanital for your need.
2.you can also opt for BINSAR - near to Almora (Uttra Khand).cycling/walking/traking tours are also possible
3.if u want a more untouched place..Try Munshari area..

I make that mistake all the time ... posting on a thread that hasn't had any posts in months or years and almost did it again. Regardless, go to Munnar as everything you want is there and it's not too bad of a trip from Bangalore. Maybe some other honeymooner will notice this thread.
