Fastest way Dehli to Udaipur or Mumbai to Udaipur

Hi There - Any help gratefully received!

My current flight arrives in Dehli 11.15am next Tuesday, need to be in Udaipur for 2-4pm same day - any suggestions how I can do this? Jet Airways/Kingfisher don't have any convenient connecting flights.

Alternatively, I can change my flight to arrive in Mumbai at 22.45 next Monday and hang around at airport for a Kingfisher or Jet flight to Udaipur on Tuesday, but this will cost an extra £100 to change my flight so want to avoid this if possible...

Cheers
Shrub

According to the normally very accurate www.ixigo.com there is a Jet Airways flight departing Delhi at 13:45 and getting to Udaipur at 14:55.

Fastest Way Dehli to Udaipur

Cheers for that Steve ... I did look at that flight but was informed by Air India cust services that I would not have time to make the 13.45 Jet flight if landing at 11.15am, due to getting luggage / check in times

Maybe it is doable though, assuming my flight arrives on time?

If so, wonder if it would be better to book that flight in advance (and risk missing it) or wait until I get there and buy it there (risking the flight being full?)

Thx
Shrub

2 and a half hours should be enough (forget this, read below), but it would be a lot better if Air India could send your luggage through to the Jet flight.

Can they do this? (if you've booked both flights)

I've no idea, do airlines do this kind of thing?

Edit.

Hold on, I've just had a thought, there's different terminals for International and domestic flights, and I've no idea of the distance between the 2, maybe the Air India staff should be listened to as they have the experience.

If this is the case, you've no option but to take the earlier flight to Mumbai.

I've edited the above post then noticed you were already reading the unedited reply, but it's an important edit, so this reply should help you notice it.

thank you!

Yes I've just been on

http://www.worldairportguide.com/air...l-Airport.html

which says its about 3 miles between the two airports, although there's a free 24 shuttle if you fly with Air India and Jet Airways ... but might be cutting it a bit fine esp if any delay on inbound international flight

I think I'll go for the earlier flight to Mumbai, which also means I can set off sooner as I'm excited now and can't wait to go

Thank you SO much for your support though! Much appreciated!

The shuttle runs about every half hour or so and takes about 10 minutes. You can get on it as long as you have an onward ticket. It drives through the airport grounds (which is probably much faster than going out on the roads)
