Dear Gopal jee,I am extremly sorry for not responding on this. Not sure how was your darshan of Baba Baidyanath. As what you came to know was true about the rush in Sharavan month. And interestingly there are no paid service like tirupati.
the best season for people who are aged are after sharavan. or if they still plan for the auspisious month. then they have to wait for a day or two for having a darshan.
let us know what your experience was.
thanks

Thousands of kanwariyas queue up for darshan & to offer Ganga Jal to the Jyotirlinga during the month of Shravana, and it becomes difficult to have darshan in such a heavy rush. IMO, if there is no compulsion of having darshan in the month of Shravana, a person should avoid visiting temple during the month, else be ready to face heavy rush!
I've visited eight out of twelve Jyotirlingas and three from Maharashtra was just in Nov and that too all three on the same day. You can also visit MahaKaleshwar and Omkareshwar of MP on the same day. I just posted this info. in Maharashtra thread related to Jyotirlingas.
If you want to see idol in it's original form at Bhimashankar, then go for 4:30am Aarti. They cover idol with Silver cover after 5:30am for devotees to perform Abhishek Pooja. I just visited all three Jyotirlingas(Bhimashankar/Trimbakeshwar/Girishneshwar) and performed Abhishek Pooja at each location in November on the same day.
My plan was as follow:
Day 1) Flew to Pune from Ahmedabad and checked in Blue Mormon near Bhimashakar Temple.
Day 2) Early morning Aarti/Abhishek Pooja at Bhimashankar - Left Bhimashankar by 6:00am - breakfast on the way to Nasik - reached Nasik by 11:30 am - Abhishek Pooja at Trimbakeshwar and left by 1pm for Girishneshwar - lunch on the way - reached luckily by 5:30pm just in time for last Abhishek Pooja for the day - Night stay at Hotel Kailash
Day 3) It was Tuesday so could not visit Ellora Caves and Ajanta Caves were just too far for my plan - visited Daultabad instead - left for Shirdi by 12:30pm - Shirdi Darshan and night sleeper bus to Ahmedabad

The best way to have darshan of MahaKaleshwar and Omkareshwar in one day is to take MP Tourism AC Bus. The bus from Ujjain departs at 7:00 AM and the return journey starts at 4 PM from Omkareshwar which reaches back to Ujjain at 8 PM.

Mumbaihermit,
Jasidih Jn(JSME) is the closest Railway Station for Vaidyanathan. There are plenty of trains available from HWH - JSME --->http://erail.in/
Most train takes around 4-5 hrs but Rajdhani takes only 3:38 hrs.

You can get more info. here. http://www.babadham.org/index.php I've not visited this dham yet - if you could, please share your experience once you visit. Distance is 4 miles and takes 15-20 minutes if you take the local train.
There are also local trains from JSME - BDME(Vaidyanath Dham itself)...you can check the timings on erail.
