Drive from Mysore-Nagarhole-Ooty-Mudumalai-Munnar-Kochi-Thekkadi

Please give any and all input on this route. How good/bad are the roads? Paved? How hilly? (From the map, they must be real hilly.) Lots of changes in altitude, I'm suspecting? (OK geography is not my best subject.) Has anyone driven these routes before? Are there restrooms? Do you need 4-wheel drive? Would you drive it again?

Can only comment on

Mysore/Ooty..
Road is good. Paved. The shorter route (by 20/30km, dont remember exactly) has steep inclines and many hairpin bends. You dont need a 4 wheel, motorcycles do it too, though one fell down right in front of me on a bend.

Ooty is not that high (compared to the Himalayan areas of Uttaranchal, Himachal etc) so its ok.

Suggestion.. do drive through the tea areas of Kotagiri beyond Ooty. A small (Katherine?) waterfall on the way, larger post monsoons.

Rest rooms... not really , but you will find something not to clean in a small resteraunt. But its not a long drive. (Same opinion on Kochi/Munnar)

Decent road, once not so decent post monsoon. Paved.
