| Delhi, Dharamsala, Kolkata, June. Very flexible. Hey everyone. 26 year old male Aussie travelling to India for the first time. Arrive in Delhi 4th of June and wish to spend a couple of weeks there, followed by a couple in Dharamsala. Then I will be heading to Kolkata to meet a contact but have time to explore along the way. I am on a low budget but very flexible with time, and am open to any ideas regarding itinerary. If anybody has any advice, or suggestions regarding must see's or do's then i would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks ![]() |

| Hi, I'm sure people have tons of ideas for itineraries for you but before I give you a full answer, can I just ask why you want to spend two weeks in Delhi? Do you have to because I would recommend 2-3 days there and the rest of the time spent elsewhere.

| My parents were married in Delhi, also i am flying into Delhi so i figured that i might as well see as much as i can of the city while i'm there. However if it happens that there is not a lot to see in Delhi then i can cut that time short. What do you suggest? And Why? |

| You can easily spend a solid week in Delhi sightseeing and shopping (and it's a useful place to accustomize yourself to India), but it is one of the priciest places in North India, so if you are on a low budget (as you mention) it would not be the best place to hang out longer than you need to. Also, it will be very hot at the beginning of June, so you may find yourself a lot more eager to get up to Dharamsala as quickly as possible once you arrive in Delhi. |
