Delhi, Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Agra, Kochin, Houseboat, Kottayam, then what?

Hi everyone, I've been dying to go to India for years so i want to stay as long as possible, but my husband only has 2 weeks off from work we're trying to do a lot in his 2 weeks then i want something mellower in my last 1-2 weeks... here's what i have so far.

We arrive in Delhi November 23. Our budget would probably be considered high but we'd like to mix it up - some "nice" places and some less polished places.

arrive Delhi (stay 3 nights - i imagine 1st day will be a lot of sleeping as we arrive at 10pm)
Train to Gaya

Bodhgaya (1 night)
Train to Varanasi

Varanasi (3 nights)
Train to Agra

Agra (1 night)
Fly to Kochin

Kochin (2 nights)
Train or taxi to Kollam (is this a good place to get a houseboat? have other suggestions?)

Board houseboat (1 night)

Kottayam (3 nights in resort for relaxing before husband leaves)

Husband flies to Delhi and I go where??
Hampi? Heard a lot of good things
Goa? beach and yoga?
Somewhere else??
I'm particulary interested in fabric/textiles, yoga and buddhism.

Golden Temple Amritsar is brilliant, train from New Delhi ideal just outside Amritsar you can see the changing of the guard at Wagga Pakistan/india border, at dusk, if interested i can give more info to me it was the trip of my life! Tony
