Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Udaipur in 8 days
Rethinking my previously posted itinerary. Is it a good idea to hire a car for this route? How much time to spend in each place? Afterwards have to catch a train to Puttaparthi (2628 Karnataka Express). How can we do it? Also want to see, if possible, Datia/Orchha.
Would appreciate any advice and tips. Thanks in advance |

I would hire a car for Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and then train it (or plane it, depending on cash) to Udaipur. For some, the train trip is part of the journey, not for me. Hehe. Which is why I'd take a plane.

Udaipur out Orchha in
A little more details. We're arriving to Delhi 00:30 AM December.
Both trains that are going South (to Puttaparthi) do not pass anywhere near Udaipur. So, unfortunately, I guess I will have to cut it out of this itinerary. As for now, it looks like: Delhi 1 day, Jaipur 2 days, Agra 2 days, Datia&Orchha 2 days. Is it worth to go to Khajuraho from Jhansi/Orchha for just one day? Bangalore Rajdhani and Karnataka Express leave to Puttaparthi from Jhansi |

You may not spend 2 days in Agra. One full day is enough & Agra isn't a great palce to stay back. Rather spend a day at Bharatpur Bird sanctuary. Drive to Bharatpur from Agra its quite close by & spebd the night there. Visit the sanctuary early morning to look at the birds.
You will need atleast one full day at Khajuraho. |

Ok, thanks. But: 1) can Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort and the Taj be all done in just one day; 2) shall we do it: Jaipur-Bharatpur-Agra-Orchha or Jaipur-Agra-Bharatpur-Orchha?
