Hi,
I'll be arriving in Delhi from London (UK) at 3am on 23 January. We have two weeks to see the Golden triangle and Goa. We'd like to spend the majority of our time in Goa. WHO/BUDGET There will be 4-5 of us (girls&boys/mid 20's) Medium budget. Travel in some luxury on trains Stay in cheap but clean hotels in the Golden Triangle. We have accommodation in Goa. Golden Traingle I would like to see some sites of Delhi. (1 day?) I would then like to go to Agra for the Fort and Taj Mahal. (1 day?) I would also like to see the Pink City of Jaipur. (1-2 days?) Then travel to Goa. What is the best method to get around the Golden Triangle, how long will we need in each place, any places not to be missed, and from where should we leave to Goa? Train costs? Hotel costs? I was thinking going back to Delhi to fly to Goa? Goa We'll be starying near Candolim, but intend to get out and about and see as much of natural/wildlife Goa as possible. Any tips as to where? We will also be going to spend a few nights in Palolem. All advice is most greatfully received! Thanks |

There are direct flights from Jaipur to Goa need not bo all the way back to delhi. Since you are 4-5 of you the best way to enjoy Golden triangle is to hire a vehicle and explore it on the roads. It will give you flexibility than trains.

rossyl,
You should checkout www.namasteindiatours.com for golden triangle, they are very good travel operators in economy/mid budget range....

Thank you all for your help.
I think we will take the train. I do not want the responsibility of a car, nor have to rely on the whereabouts of a driver. I presume that taxi's are easy to get at all of these places? Please let me know of cheap airlines that fly Jaipur -> Goa. Also with booking trains, what is the best way to do this? Lastly, how many days are needed in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur? Thank you Ross |

Well for Golden Triangle I'd suggest about 2 nights at Delhi, 01 at Agra & 1 in Jaipur. On the 05th day you may fly out of Jaipur to Mumbai n then a connecting flight to Goa.
I dont see any direct flight from Jaipur to Goa. For budget hotels try out the ones at Paharganj area & Karol Bagh at Delhi. In Agra Taj Plaza is a nice option and in Jaipur Dera Rawatsar, Arya Niwas n many more. You will find reviews on this very site. |
