Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Bandhavgarh - Mumbai - Goa - Delhi (3 weeks)

Hello. Im Rhyan. Just turned 21 living in Brighton, England and am visiting India for just over 3 weeks from the 5th January.

I'm not one for planning things too much would much rather just turn up and move onto the next stage of the trip as and when i feel ready. Im gonna be on a budget of about $50.00(USD) a day. Im gathering from what I've read this should be a more than average budget, however i don't want to stay in hotels much rather budget guest houses and huts in Goa. I was in Thailand for 5 weeks in April, this was my first time out of Europe. Loved it and found it very easy to get around, but believe India will be harder, as it seems the entirety of the Thai economy is based on pleasing westerners.

So far im thinking spend a couple of days in Delhi then get a train/bus (what ever's best?) to Agra. Spend a couple of days see the sites and move onto Jaipur again by train/bus. So so far im thinking around 7 days in total.

From Japipur i then want to move onto Bandhavgarh again bus/train. Here i want an elephant safari, can anyone advise on this ? Here again i'm thinking 2-3 nights. Before mocing onto Mumbai again by train/bus and stay for 2-3 nights. All in another 7 days. 14 in total.

Then i want nothing more than to relax in Goa and soak up the rays for around 5 nights before heading back up to Delhi for the return to UK. Would people advise flying back to Delhi!?

Im worried about the weather in the north Delhi agra etc and national parks. I really want some heat and escape the English winter. Am i right in thinking im not gonna see any sun/warmth at this time of year in the northern part of my trips. Is an elephant trek going to be possible at this time of year?

Am i right in thinking that in Mumbai or at east Goa I should see some nice weather and be able to relax on the beach for the last part of my trip!????

Also is there any places you think i really should stop off at, or any places that should be added or even if you think i can achieve these places in 3 weeks.

Thanks for the help.Looking forward to your reply.Anything will be a great help. Also anything you think i should definitely see in each area/city!
