I am travelling with my two kids and wife to Delhi,Agra,Simla,Manali.
Here below are the itinerary for our trip. Please let me know if it looks good and what I've missed, and if there are any better options. I have used a lot of inforamtion from this site.

July 29 (Tue) – Mumbai to Delhi – Flight

Looks ok to me, though I'm not sure why you're restricting your sightseeing at Manali on 3rd Aug to 5-9 pm.

The stations are Addresses in themselves, if you think knowing the address and saying "house number 142 , such and such lane etc etc" is going to be easier than saying Shimla/Delhi railway station then no.

Sheesh, dude! This isn't exactly Europe or N. America, as puchoo hinted.

What is relevant for your itinerary though is:

NDLS - New Delhi RS
DLI - Old Delhi RS
NZM - Nizamuddin (South-central Delhi)
AGC - Agra Cantonment

Still to be more precise Captain Dom:

New Delhi RS : Connaught Place (CP)
Old Delhi RS : Old Delhi, opposite Red Fort.
Nizamuddin RS: The name suggests: Nizamuddin. South-Central Delhi
Agra Cantontment: Just go by the name.

If you are hiring a taxi or an auto rickshaw, all you need to tell the driver is to take you to the railway station. But do specify New Delhi or Old Delhi or Nizamuddin whatsoever.

We are enjoying whatever we can in India. Even the rains. We had a wonderful time in Delhi, Agra, Simla and Manali. The drive in Manali (Rohtang Pass) was really awsome, hairpin bends and beautiful scenery. It was kind of risky driving through the wet roads.

we are planning to visit Delhi(local tour)-agra-rishikesh-haridwar-shimla-kullu manali then back to delhi in 8-10 days time.We are couple with 2 children, would like to travel by train/bus.Please suggest me with optimized itinerary with timings.arriving delhi airport at 8pm on 1st december 2010.

Let me know what you are looking for specifically. My itenary should help you. In Manali we did the Rohtang pass, however the driver (though very friendly and talkative) was trying to rip off additional Rs. 400. It was a whole day driving up and down the pass, but was well worth it.

19th December - shopping and 9:15pm train to Kalka and 5:30am train from Kalka to Shimla
20th December - Simla site seeing and also on 21st Simla site seeing
22nd December morning bus to Manali
22nd to 25th December till 4pm - site seeing in Manali- almost 4 days
25th December bus from Manali to Delhi reaching on 26th December morning at 6am
26th December 9:20am train to Jaipur reaching at 2pm. 26th and 27th December jaipur site seeing and shopping.
28th December - Jaipur to Ajmer- 28th and 29th Ajmer site seeing and shopping
30th December early morning 5:30am train to bangalore reaching on 1st Jan
