Dalhousie to Srinagar? How?
Hi everyone!
Need some help! What is the best route to go from Dalhousie/Chamba (HP) to Srinagar (J&K)?
Has anyone done that trip before? Also, I'm keen to go in Feb. Will the roads be ok? I'll prefer a bus or something..
Any advice?

February might be little dicey if one has to head to Chamba from dalhousie, since one has to pass kalatop and khajjiar enroute i did this in january last year, we barely made it across because of snow on the road.
You have to head for chamba if you are in dalhousie, from there.. take a bus to jammu via pathankot..loads of buses ply in between.
and from jammu, you know what to do.. i have replied to your query on the question u had on jammu to srinagar.
If you are in chamba, dont miss the bharmour - kugti area. its absolutely stunning. especially kugti village.

Chamba is safe, for J&K keep reading newspapers and IM etc as situation there changes on daily or may hourly basis.
