Cochin to Bangalore

Hi, we are travelling to India in Jaunary with our one year old daughter. Our friend is getting married in Bangalore and we are going to combine it with some travelling in Kerala.
So far we have booked 5 nights accomodation in Varkala and 5 nights in Cherrai.

We have 7 nights to fill before arriving in Bangalore and were thinking of going to Wayanard and Mysore. Can anyone advise us on how long to spend in each place and where we should stay? We were wondering about Ooty and Coonor, are they worth the trip with the baby?

This looks like a great source of info for travelling in India so looking forward to your replies!
Thanks

I can't advise about Wayanard (as I have not been there still) and Ooty/Coonur (as I'm just going there), but Mysore is worth 3 days and even more, and if it's possible - one of the days should be a Sunday, as the Mysore Palace illumination is really beautiful, absolutely fairytale-like! While in Mysore, you can visit Somnathpur (a small, but extremly beautiful Hoysala temple), Srirangapatnam, a bird sanctuary, spend one of the evening in Brindavan garden - every place is not far from the city, about 30-40 km. And in Mysore there are lots of interesting, and the city itself is pleasant.

Have a good trip!

Agree with what the previous poster said.

I have been to Wayanad. Personally did not find it interesting at all.

Also given the 1 year old kid perspective, Mysore would be a better place to spend time.
