| Climate Advice needed! (Sep - Dec 2007) Hello guys, I've been to India once before. I took in Delhi, Agra, McLeodganj, Amritsar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Pushkar, Udaipur, Mumbai and Goa (Palolem mostly) over a 2 month period. Im going to be flying into Delhi in early Sept 2007 and i have 3 months to travel, leaving from Delhi in December. I'm not too clued up on the seasons and climates in the different regions, so i need some help about where is feasible to go. I want to spend some time in Nepal, and perhaps exit towards Darjeeling. Where else is good to see in this region, to hang around, relax and enjoy myself in beautiful surroundings. I also had it in mind to head south for part of my trip as i didn't see much of the south on my first attempt. I'd love to think it was possible to see Kerala or some other beautiful southern areas during my 3 months, but again i don't know about climate. Has anyone got any ideas about places to go, times to go and generally the best must-see areas that i haven't already covered in my initial trip to India, which was without doubt my favourite two month period of backpacking ever. Thanks, Joe. |

| Hi Joe, its nice to hear that u r visiting India again. In Sept to dec, the weather is quite pleasant. You can plan to visit Eat India especially Kolkata during Oct to see durga puja. Also there are many other places to visit like Belurmath, many hill station like darjelling, Lava, shillong etc... Then by end of Nov, go to Goa to enjoy & celebrate Christmas... My only point is that try to visit places when some special occasion is held... so that u can enjoy the occasion as well the place....

| September October are very good time to visit India. I suggest visiting Kumaon & Garwal regions of the Himalayas. Very scenic & peaceful places in both regions. These places are easy to reach from Delhi. |
