chilla national park

hi friends ,i am going to haridwar on3rd jan.from there chila national park.friends i have some quesions.pls help me as early as possible.
1)how can i reach there from haridwar?any bus rout or i have to hire a cab ?
2)if i have to hire a cab how much it can charge aprox?
3)what is the rate of elephant safari or jeep safari?
4)whether i have to book it in advance or not ?
5)what is the timing to visit there?

I had gone there about 2.5 years back in the month of May. We had our own car so drove till the gate. Inside the Sanctuary we hired a jeep, as there were no elephants to hire that day. I think we paid Rs 700 or 800 for the jeep Safari. We saw a herd of elephants, peacocks & lots of deer. On a Jeep you can cover a much wider area whereas on elephant you will be able to cover a very limited area.


You can search the net and get their phone no & enquire about the timing of the park. We had taken an afternoon safari. Advance booking may not be required if you know the timing and reach there in time. I have no idea how you can reach there by local transport. It is little out of way from Haridwar.
