Bus From Kullu Valley To Kinnaur

....someone knows if there are buses from kullu to rampong or better to rekong peo in kinnaur...without passing via shimla...during august???????thx....dennis

Ok, that's the longest poss route without going to Shimla. In this case, having to go to Sundarnagar means (even if it heads 'straight' from Karsog to Luhri/Sainj instead of Mashobra) one might as well be heading to Shimla instead, get a good night's sleep, and take a different bus to Rampur or Pio next day. After all this is the ordinary bus and spending all night on it will not be a pleasure trip, quite the opposite, and not worth saving the few hours.

there's a good chance that Jalori Pass is closed due to bad road conditions in Aug, but enquire anyway at Kullu if the road is open and if anything's going that way, including private buses/jeeps. U might have to change vehicles at Aut. Still it'll save u a lot of time, so worth spending a few mins enquiring.
