Bike Trip from Chandigarh to Leh

Hey,
I have planned a trip from Chandigarh to Leh & Ladakh and then Back through Spiti Valley on my Bullet350 for this June.

Last Year i Did a trip to Spiti valley from Chandigarh-Kalpa-Nako-Kaza-Losar-ChanderTal and back. It was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE..!! If anyone needs to know about Spiti Valley Trip then you can let me know I will post each and everything related to it.

Now coming to the point.......

So now this is my plan:
Day1- Chandigarh-Manali (Manali Stay and sightseeing)
Day2- Manali to Jispa/Sarchu (overnight stay at jispa or sarchu)
Day3- Sarchu to Leh
Day4- Leh to Nubra Valley(Panamik) via KhardungLa
Day5- Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso(Lukung or Spangmik)
Day6- Pangong Tso to Leh
Day7- Leh to TsoKar and Tso Moriri (Camping at Lake)
Day8- Back to Keylong
Day9- Keylong to Kaza
Day10- Kaza to Nako
Day11- Nako to Kalpa
Day12- Kapla to Chandigarh

Now I would like to ask a few questions:-

1. Is it possible (or advisable) to stay overnight at Sarchu or Jispa on Day 2(night)?
2. What kind of permits would i require to visit Nubra valley, Pangong Tso, etc. and how to get them?
3. Which is the farthest point accessible in Nubra valley?
4. Please advise, how to visit Tso Kar & Tso Moriri.
5. THE MOST IMP.- Can we travel two people on one bike?
6. I also wanted to know approx. required budget(expenses) till my Day7/8 if we are one person on one bike.

I can make my trip increase to 15 days also. In case you want to advise me something extra.

Thanx. I am eargerly waiting for replies..!!

Read a few posts in the section Ladakh and Zanskar A lot has be discussed around this.
2. What kind of permits would i require to visit Nubra valley, Pangong Tso, etc. and how to get them?
Same as point 1 but in 1 line there is an office near the polo ground in leh where you get the permits.Carry your vehicle docs and your ID docs to get the permits for nubra and pangong tso (I actually forgot if I needed a permit for pangong tso or not).
3. Which is the farthest point accessible in Nubra valley? Turtuk- a village near pakistan as per my knowledge.
4. Please advise, how to visit Tso Kar & Tso Moriri.
5. THE MOST IMP.- Can we travel two people on one bike?
a yes and a no. It has its own pros and cons, I have posted my views in this link. Chose as per your comfort on what is the right option.

6. I also wanted to know approx. required budget(expenses) till my Day7/8 if we are one person on one bike.

This is very much open ended for some 15K per head would be possible for some 50K is not enough. But if you have a basic stay and normal food then 15 K per head is very much doable.

I can make my trip increase to 15 days also. In case you want to advise me something extra.

Yes, you do need permit to go to Pangong Tso (at-least 10 years back we had to obtain one) Guess things haven't changed much since then.

We were not driving ourselves; so hotel people did it for us.

True. Am sure it needs permit and technically I know we had.
It's just a year and I am unable to recollect the checkpost visit. I am unable to recollect the memory of visiting it.

So am not sure if we needed to show it, but then I think we must have, it just not flashing my Grey cells now.

Thank You So Much new_traveller, you have answered each and everything BRILLIANTLY. Your info is very much helpful.
Okay, Now everything is clear. But the main problem I am facing is finding about how to visit Tso Kar and Tso Moriri..??
Actually if Tso Kar is on the way can it be visited while going to Leh from Sarchu? and then I can come back from Pangong to Tso Moriri and come back to Leh Manali highway??? I am not able to find latest and clear info about this. I hope If you can help me with it also. :/

Sorry - I have not done that route and would not want to speak of something which is just my imagination.
Try searching threads where people have planned and done that route. I am sure there are itineraries including those places.
