I hope the OP is planning on going to Fatipur Sikri while in Agra. It's as impressive in it's own way as the Taj (in my opinion)
Thanks for the advice of taking things calmly. I agree to what was said regarding the village question. What I originally meant with village when I mentioned it to OP was the implication that he gets out into the rural area, and I think you would all agree that Vrindavan is rural as opposed to urban. Mathura would have an urban quality for me, while Vrindavan is distinctly rural. Also when I talk about Vrindavan, I mean the old town, not including the newer developments in Raman Reti (the Iskcon area) where rich people built their mansions and keep adding more and more structures, or the ones on Mathura-road.

Old Vrindavan is actually consisting of many large temples, going back about 400 years, with their markets and shops in buildings on land owned by the temples around them.

There is a curious connotation that I experienced at some point when I mentioned to friends in India that I grew up in a village. Village in the Indian context really means something very backward, and how could someone with an education be from a village.
