Hi,
I have got approx 5 hours in Delhi, after I land in the airport till the time, i start again. Will I be able to visit Qutub Minar in the time span ? What would be the best way of doing it ? I guess there might be some prepaid-taxis /autos or etc's at the airport. Considering the fact, that the two of us will be lugging some luggage along ( a backpack and a duffel bag each ), please suggest any ideas/tips.
Any other suggestions regarding place too are very welcome

Thanks in advance,
Guru

5 hours is enough. Dunno when you land, but qutub minar is about 40/45 mins drive from the airport in moderate traffic.

I would hire a car or leave my luggage in the left luggage at the airport, if that is convenient. How are you leaving Delhi? If domestic airport, then leave luggage there, or keep in the car.

They probably will not allow you to carry much inside the qutub area, because of security reasons. You will have to leave your bags in the car. Hope you arent carrying valuables.

Other place I can think of is Delhi Haat, daytime, or a drive through Rajpath/short stop at Lodhi gardens- with similar problems with baggage

The best thing, I think, is to fix a car through a reliable source to pick you up at the airport. You are in India, it should be possible.

Thanks !

Thanks Shashank & Capt !
I guess Radio Cabs would be a better option for just a pick up or a drop. but they would charge too for the waiting period, is'nt it.

Rs. 100 for an hour.

If you can find a reliable agency, with which you can pre book then you should do that. Otherwise my money is on radio cab. Check the thread, there is a new agency called Quick Cabs, their charges are very nominal at Rs.7.5 per km. They can be booked on 011-45 333 333.
