Another itinerary question...sorry..

Hi there

This will be my first time in India, I am a female solo traveller, and I have 5 weeks in the country. I will be flying into Delhi and out of Mumbai. Please could you guys help me on what order of the following would be most recommended and the advisable mode of overland transport between them. The trip will be in September next year, not an ideal month I know!

DELHI-VARANASI-AGRA-JAIPUR-JAISALMER-UDAIPUR-GOA-MUMBAI

varanasi - jaipur (train mughalsarai to jaipur)
jaipur - jaisalmer (car)
jaisalmer-udaipur (car)
udaipur -mumbai (car)
mumbai - goa (bus/flight)
goa - mumbai(bus/flight)

You could do it in the order you have written.
Delhi-Varanasi Overnight train.
Varanasi-Agra Overnight train
Agra-Jaipur Day train or bus
Jaipur- Jaisalmer Overnight train
Jaisalmer-Udaipur Train/bus change at Jodhpur.
Udaipur-Goa Flight via Mumbai
Goa-Mumbai Fight or train.

I may leave out Jaisalmer as one of the big reasons it seems that people travel there is to do a camel safari, but as I am off to Egypt and the rest of Africa after India it's not something that I was planning on doing. It's less travel time if I leave it out and more time to spend elsewhere!

Would anyone strongly disagree with this, is Jaisalmer worth the visit anyway, am I being foolish to leave it out??
