Question Agra vs Khajuraho... which needs more time?

A friend and I are trying to decide which city to spend more time in. We can either have 2 days in Agra and 2 "half days" (would need to travel to/from Jhansi and Khajuraho)in Khajuraho. Or 1 day in Agra and 2 full days in Khajuraho (still would be traveling to/from Jhansi). Which place deserves more time?

Side Question: For anyone that has travel to Khajuraho from Jahnsi... is it difficult to find transportation (a car) to/from Jahnsi

Agra - 2 days to cover Taj , Agra Fort , Baby Taj and Fatehpur sikri

Khajuraho - 1 day more than sufficient to visit all the temples. Strongly recommend dropping by at Orchha which is 11 kms from Jhansi on the road to Khajuraho. Orchha is a wondeful quiet hamlet on the banks of the blue/green gurgling river Betwa and has a fort and a series of cenotaphs on the river banks. Can be covered in half a day but many stay longer to soak in the atmosphere.

arga or khajuraho.....well it really depends on whether you are more into love or sex !!!

assuming you are into a bit of both, 2 days of agra and 1 full day (or 2 halves) for khajuraho is recommended. i second orcha as well but dont ven think of doing orcha AND khajuraho in a days time. orcha would need an extra ay at least.

also the best place to travel to khajuraho isnt jhansi but satna, but seeing as you would be travelling in from arga and not varanasi, its best you take the jhansi route. its a tedious 4 hour journey from jhansi to khauraho though and you are best adviced to do so by rented car (they will fleece you, since you are a foreigner). how many people are you travelling with??

To see the sites in Khajuraho only takes one day. We spent a second day there to have some downtime...we checked into a nice hotel and sat in the gardens and relaxed. A short stroll into town to eat, surf the net, hang out on a patio. It is a nice quiet town to chill and regain your energy before tackling the next busy city.
