Agra to Orchha direct or via Gwalior

Hi all. Looking for a bit of itinerary advice for my third trip to India next month.
At the moment, I am arriving in Agra & have a 1.5 day/two night stay before heading on to Orchha for a night. Only planning on doing the Taj, baby Taj & Fort so will have a bit of time on my hands and for memory, Agra is not the greatest place to hang out.
In view of this, would you recommend just the day & following early morning in Agra (to see Taj at sunrise) and then perhaps head to Gwalior for a night before moving on to Orchha, or perhaps straight to Orchha for two nights. I have been to neither Gwalior or Orchha previously. All suggestions welcome.

Both Gwalior and Orrcha are worth visiting. Try to visit both places, at least keep a whole day for both. You can also visit Jhansi from Orrcha.
