Agra to Neemrana Fort?

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there is a route from Agra to Neemrana Fort that doesn't double back to Gurgaon or involve going to Jaipur first...

Any ideas? And travelling time by private car?

If there isn't a route, is it quicker to travel from Agra back to Gurgaon and take the NH8 to Neemrana? How long approx would this take?

I am not sure but a route of Agra - Bharatpur - Alwar - Neemrana should work...

I am not sure how much time it would take..maybe some other members can shed some light..

Okay..I got it...

Bharatpur is around 50 Km from Agra on way back to Delhi..

from Bharatpur, Alwar would be around 100-120 kilometers...
I just realised that Neemrana was in Alwar district itelf..

There is another option, from Agra start on Bikaner Highway, the road that goes to Fatehpur Sikri and Jaipur..on that road you will find places like 1. Mehndipur 2. Sikandra 3. Bandhikui.

There would be a right turn from Sikandra, from there you will reach Alwar in couple of hours passing via Rajgarh..

Thanks for the advice above. Which route would be faster do you think?

I assume that the second one would be much better..as the road till Sikandra was in excellent condition last time I visited, and beyond that as well roads are narrow but good enough.

I hope you have some local driver with you, just ask him to keep a track of the places I have named...

Btw, when are you planning to be here ?

Unfortunately, I'm not planning this trip for myself, a friend of mine is visiting Delhi and has just a few days to explore. I made the mistake of suggesting a trip to Neemrana, now I have to plan it out for him!!

Just to clarify, it will take about 2 hours from Sikandra to Alwar. How long approx from Agra to Sikandra?

Not very sure but it should not be more than 2-3 hours..
