advise on the route.
Hi everyone,
I am new to this site and this is my first post.
I am landing in Delhi on November 25, 2011 at 5:50 am and leaving out from Mumbai on December 29, 2011.
I would love to see north and south. Currently i have these cities in mind:
Delhi
Mumbai
Varanasi
Agra
Jaipur
Also :
Goa and Kerala.
I know that 1 month is not a lot but thats all i have off for school break. I want to spend as little money as i can. I will be traveling with my boyfriend.
I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how we should do this to see as much as we can and with spending as little as we can.
I would love to go a little north from delhi and visit Corbett Tiger Preserve and some other interesting city .
also really want to go to Varanasi , Kerala state , Goa and spend a little time in Mumbai ( like 2-3 days probably the max) .
I dont mind taking over night trains for long distance , but also can fly once to get from point A to B faster. I also dont mind spending only 1 or 2 days in each city. I know its really short but i want to do my best , because i know i will not be coming back to india any time soon, this is my only opportunity.
Thanks eeveryone , i would really appreciate on any info you might have : trains (times and lengths from city to city ) , places to see, where to stay and so on ! I would also like to go to some places where is less touristy , especially in south !
Thanks ,
Karolina

Hi Katyteee,Welcome to IM , please ensure that you consider & post your itenary / personal information on the forum .
Use PM option to contact people in private .
Double check information on all threads & plan accordingly, if you hurry up too much you might just skim and miss out on all the nice places .
if you chill out a lot then you might miss seeing some good places.
unless you have a budget that allows you to catch a lot of internal flights, i would suggest you prioritize between north / south .
Whatever you do , remember India is contradiction & chaos ....! but you will get used to it .

We agree 100% with Nomad_traveller's advice. One very minor point: I believe you're not allowed to use the Private Message option till you've accumulated ten posts in ten days, or some such thing. Not to worry – you'll soon be there.
Also, we've found internal flights to be relatively inexpensive, and they're a great boon when you're faced with long distances and little time.
