Advice on itinerary _ Mumbai/Goa/Bangalore/Chennai/Trivandrum in December 2009

I will be travelling in India with my family in December. We prefer to travel by train and prefer to stay in middle to economy accommodation (Rs 300 to 600 per night per person). Here is our rough itinerary - any advice would be great:

Looking forward to any suggestions on the itinerary and any great places to visit in the vicinity of our travels - temples, markets, super hot food......etc.

But, most importantly advice on how to get around and where to stay!

howdy african bro......i too am from africa.....kenya !

in mumbai, if i was you, id head straight to COLABA, near leopolds bar u will get plenty of places to stay. colaba is basically full action day time, so u gotta see this , your train to goa is not far away either.

where in goa do u wanna go ?

anjuna & arambol are my favs....! if u need advice there....lemme know.

Hi Bro. Good to hear from you. Will definitely do Colaba. In Goa we are looking to stay in Calangute, but if you have any great suggestions on places to stay in Anjuna would appreciate it.

ok, calangute is super commercial......too much traffic too many people ( 2 week tourists) but on the other hand plenty of bars and restaurants....clubs.

in anjuna we stay at a place called sea queen, its clean and has good vibes. owners name is gurudas TEL +919850461416, better call asap as he is quite popular. tell him u got his nr from "hari om, germany"
