Interesting - The metropolitan in New Delhi used to be called, if I am not mistaken, Nikko.

There will be a big tour organize by one temple, here in Japan. Maybe we will join that group as two elder people are unable to walk, so have excuse them.

Is sad because one of persons was very looking to travel to India.

We have contacted many many tour groups, and finally deciding. If we are over 10 persons, both airlines in Japan will also assist in design and planning.

Mid-March is not too hot. Just fine, for India that is. In April the dry heat takes off. See an example of a description for March here. Mid-March would be the perfect time for me to be on the Buddhist circuit. In February there is too much smoke in the air in that region, because it is a very poor rural area where people light fires a lot to get some warmth at night (understandable, but...). The same may still be the case in March also, but probably less and less toward the end of the month. What I have seen might also have been partially fog/mist in the air though; I just remember how difficult it was in February to take photos before noon in Kushinagar.
