6 days in Dharamsala
Hey, I know there are tons of threads about Dharamsala / Mcleod Ganj. I just wanted to see what else was around the area besides the usual tourist spots (Norbulinka, etc). My boyfriend & I will be there for 6 days and wonder about what else would be interesting to do while there....
Thanks! oh-we'll be there the first week of July, so weather-permitting activities!

Hi, l&l ..
Dharamshala and Mcleodganj are nice place to visit ,,,, i made my visit there last year OCT 2007. Being therein a not to miss the points are ,,,, Namgyal Monestry- A buddhist monestry - in in Mcleodganj main town. Bhagsunag Fall - A must to visit , in Mcleodganj , 30-40 min walk from the main town.  Dal Lake- An OK point to make your picnick sort of things,however dosent impressed me much, however in certain time of wheather when mist all around cud give a nice n pleasent experience. St. John's Church - An old small church - but nice to see. you may enjoy the road side shopping of tibetan culture but dont forget to bargain.  eating Momos from the shacks of lady vendors, wud b fun .Further u may explore indiamike for rest of the info.my travel pics Last edited by abhimeranaam : Apr 3rd, 2008 at 13:05. |

Add to the items listed above:
- Tibetan refugee museum (down Temple Road) - the Monastery (down the hill behind Om Guest House) which has butter scultpures of Buddha McLeod Ganj didn't have much to see (I've been to the region 4 times in the last 7 years).
