Umm, too little time at Hampi. I would suggest at least 2 full days.
And Mysore is unclear to me, you have kept a few hours to see the palace, at least ?

To cover the stretch between Mysore and Hampi in that speed, you will need a private jet or Helicopter. You need to keep 'at least' 7 days for this part of the itinerary.

Varkala is good for its beach and its yoga, but if you are already spending time in Goa and at a yoga ashram, then you could miss it.

Also as a bit of a Mysore fan I would say spend more time here (theres a great day trip you can do that takes in a Jain statue, great bird sanctuary and the hill at the back), let alone the joys spent wandering the markets, buying silk and checking out some of the best pure veg restaraunts in India.
But there again you could fly Bangalore to Belur and miss out Mysore as this will give you more time at Hampi..... choices choices. |

Try Pondicherry when you are in chennai !
Try out Pondicherry......Aurobindo's ashram is meditative. Plus pondicherry has the flavour of a small french town and the two hours drive from Chennai is amazing. Let me know if you want me to drive you down. I am working in chennai and weekends are free for me.

Ha! Time for a whole new thread... Is it safe for women travelling alone to accept weekends away with poetic strange men?
How ever kindly-meant the offer, I think you need to know more about them than their taste in coffee. purplejoy1975, Welcome to IM! Perhaps we will get to know more about you!

Alone Women Accepting Offers from Poetic Men
Grumpy,
Good that you butted in. I wish someone had given me that offer when i wandered all alone in the mediterranean and the aegean. Well, one Greek lady did drive me down to Kamari beach on Fira, Santorini. I picked up some poems and a good friend on the way. Let the lady decide on her own. Your caution would obviously stay. Yasoo ! |

It will stay. So will the site policy that this is not a dating or pick-up site, so I'm afraid that we have acted accordingly.

Hey Nick thank you so much for looking out for the girls. I was certainly not going to take this one or anyone one on their offer. I was publicly musing at the profile really. BTW I have received a few funny offers sent through my website. All good material for my stand up on my travels in India.
But truly I appreciate your being the moderator here! |
