Hi guys sorry I have no advice to offer yet but I am hoping that I will be able to get some travel advice. I am travelling to India with my sister for 3 weeks starting next week. We hace planned to go to Bombay - Delhi - jaipur - Agra - Darjeeling - Kerala - Goa.

I have been looking at internal flights which seem to be less than £50 each ticket - does this seem right?

Also, does anyone know what the trains are like and if they run the roues that we are planning? Can I rely on info given by transport sites in India?

do you recommend buying tickets online or are they easy to get hold of? and the same for cheap accomodation.

So many questions! I hope someone can help!

Helen, welcome to indiamike.

Your itinerary seems rushed for 3 weeks, but if you are planning to fly everywhere (except Del/Jaipur/Agra), it is doable.

I really would knock off Darjeeling, though, its far from anywhere else you are going.

Please browse the trains forum here, the indian railways site is reliable, and so is www.ixigo.com for domestic flights.

Internal flights will be around 50 GBP or less, yes, provided you book now, since you are leaving next week.

I would book hotels in Delhi and Mumbai, the rest should be manageable.
