15 days - Agra+Rajasthan+Amritsar itinerary help needed please!

Hey there

Im planning a trip to India next summer 08 (i know, i know it will be raining, but i've accepted that!)

I've got 15 days to visit agra, as much of rajasthan as possible, and amritsar.

Currently i've got the following itinerary:

Day 1 Delhi-Agra morning
Day 2 Agra / Agra-Jaipur evening
Day 3 Jaipur
Day 4 Jaipur / Jaipur-Jodhpur overnight
Day 5 Jodhpur
Day 6 Jodhpur / Jodhpur-Jaisalmer overnight
Day 7 Jaisalmer
Day 8 Jaisalmer / Jaisalmer - Bikaner overnight
Day 9 Bikaner / Bikaner - Amritsar overnight
Day 10 Amritsar
Day 11 Amritsar / Amritsar - Delhi evening

I plan to do the travelling by train.

My questions are:

1) Am I going along the right tracks here? - in terms of time spent in each city

2) Do you have any suggestions on what I can do on the 4 extra days?

I thought about visiting Udaipur (in between Jaipur and Jodhpur), but it seemed like too long a journey...is this true? Although I would like to visit Ranakpur...

I also thought about staying in Jaisalmer for longer and doing a camel safari, but I figured that considering i'm going during monsoon, this may not be the most enjoyable of experiences-has anyone had experience of a camel safari in monsoon rains?

Are you visiting during summer or monsoon? You have mentioned both.
If it is summer Jodhpur & Jaisalmer both places will be very hot.
Even in July & August they will be hot.
You may think of including Mt. Abu and Udaipur.

ill be visiting in August. I realise that it will be very hot, but this is going to be the last long holiday i have so wanted to make the most of it
