Good show Omtas but how about letting some of us others a look in. You are bringing to the fore the real everyday India that people see but not often snap thinking the monuments or scenes that have been snapped a million+ times are more worthwhile to photograph. your people are real! Congrats.
Yes, congratulations again to Omtapas for some wonderful photos.

Many thanks for everyones support.
The good respond of my pictures had motivated me to try new things and I have learned a lot in photography and it helped me a lot to come closer to some people I met for example the tribals in Orissa... I am so grateful for that.
Also it gave me an extra push to have the courage to travel around South India with my diesel Bullet...
I am grateful for all the pictures of the month, cool, thank you! I am just happy if it brought a bit of joy in your life...
I MAY not post or do pictures for much longer as I am always remembered of the goal I have chosen... Nothingness.
I know some have been triggered by my pictures or persona... what to do? I have been triggered few times too and I used it to look inside... Love is all that matters, isn't!
Thank you for the great experience

Hello omtapas. Please do not give up taking photos! We would all be bereft. Nothingness may be your goal; it does not have to include depriving IndiaMike! I respect your aim though and maybe some other great photographers will earn Photo of the Month too...

FYI -
I found a bug in the Photo of the Month algorithm that has since been corrected. For some reason, it was excluding images uploaded with a ".jpeg" extension when it shouldn't have been. Unfortunately, that changed two of the selections that were originally chosen as the Photos of the Month, so please accept my apologies for that.

I've received a few queries about how the Photos of the Month are selected, so I thought I'd post something on the open forum so everyone would know the process:
First off, the selection process is automated and no there is no human intervention in how the pictures are chosen. There is essentially a program that, at the start of each month, looks at images that are between 30 to 60 days old and then tallies up the votes that each image has received. The pics are then ranked by total rating first and by total views next. The top four images are then chosen at Photos of the Month.
