You can put this in you bag and carry it around :
Eicher Dehli City Map The detail, if it is as good as the Chennai one, will go down to small streets and the index will find most things want.

That's a lot of roops Rs 270, still you get what you pay for. There is a good shop in KHAN MARKET which has 10 or so different ones to choose from.

At the Delhi airport you can pickup a *FREE* Delhi map. It's very big & detailed with all the important places marked specifically . The stand is just affter the baggage collecting area.

I agree with Beach, for a tourist the free map is enough.
But if you need to spend some time in Delhi, the Eicher is a fantastic, very detailed and with loads of useful info.

Does the atlas show the metro too, if so I'm sold......
If you buy it when you first get there, then you don't notice the cost so much. Infact I have just looked at my map of Delhi and it's an Eicher!!!!!! Sponsored by Royal Enfield. Look at this, not bad, but I guess the Atlas kicks this into second place.. ![]() |

That looks pretty good! Probably similar to the single-sheet poster-size map of Chennai that came free with my atlas (since lost
)This is a sample from the atlas. You can see detail down to side-street (most of them) level and evn road numbering. It is 98% as good as a London A-Z. There is even a 'central' area of even larger scale, but I didn't spend much time on those pages. Whoops! Just tried to upload a .png of the whole spread! IM didn't like that at all ! This page fragment is about 160mm accross in real life, showing about 1600m on the ground. Oh how I love my Eicher Map. I really ought to get paid for plugging as much as I do but life is just not fair like that ![]() |

Talking Atlases...... (or is it Atlasi?)
I recently bought the Lonely Planet India Atlas, it's rather sexy....
To keep in theme, here's the Delhi map..... http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...php/photo/5358 I love the look of this atlas and at only Ten Quid it's a deal..... (About 750Rs) well maybe not in Indian money.... |

Eicher's city map of Delhi is the best ! One gets full value for money.
TTK maps are pretty useful too and very easy to carry around.
